Modern Bathroom Vanities And Cabinets: How To Organize Your Toiletries

by Wyatt Fisk

Oftentimes, we spend thousands of dollars in order to beautify our bath spaces. We impulsively purchase vessel sink vanities because we think that they could instantly transform the look of our bath spaces, or we spend too much effort customizing our cabinets for them to properly cover the imperfections on our bathroom walls. However, it should be realized that despite these furnishings, a bath space can never be considered beautiful unless it is clean and organize. Always remember that the most important aspect of cabinets and vanities is the storage they provide for the things we use inside our bath areas.

Regardless how visually pleasing your modern vanity and cabinet might be, they will never be useful if you only value them for these aesthetic features. So, to properly use them for their appropriate purpose of keeping your bathroom organized, you may want to follow the simple steps provided below to maximize the use of your bathroom storage furnishings. From your medicine or walk-in cabinets to your vanity, all these pieces would be put into good use from which you could benefit on a daily basis. After following these tips, your will definitely notice the difference between a beautiful bathroom and a make-believe beautiful bath space.

To get things rolling, remove all the things and products found inside your modern vanity, medicine and walk-in cabinets and then arrange them in a pile. Throw out all the expired products as they not only eat up space, they are also hazardous to you and your family. Now examine what are the items left; some of these items may not be used on a daily basis but must be accessed easily when needed, while there are also items that you need to use everyday that must be properly stored. Arrange these items according to their purpose; separate the toiletries from cosmetics and medicines.

For the cosmetics, keep them inside the drawer storage of your modern vanity. Because vanities often clutch mirrors, designating your cosmetics inside one of your vanity drawers would make it easier for you to find your make-up. You could also designate individual vanity drawers for your used and unused toiletries. If you tend to be forgetful, you can simply label the drawers according to categories like shaving, dental, cosmetics, hair care and so on.

For modern bathroom cabinets that hold medicines, try to reserve the first shelf of these cabinets for the medicines you consume daily. Then, use the remaining shelves to store other products that have expiration dates. Hence, products with expiration dates that are rarely used should be placed on higher shelves. Try to make sure though that your medicine cabinets are tucked away from the reach of children.

Now that you are through with your toiletries and medicines, the next things you have to attend to are your linens which include bath towels, washcloths, hand towels, and bath sheets. These are commonly placed inside modern bathroom cabinets when they are not in use; instead of just shoving them in however, fold them neatly and then group them inside the cabinets. Toys could also be major contributors for bathroom clutter; hence, designate at least two or three drawers from your cabinets where your kids can store their toys after use, but be sure to dry them first before placing them inside these areas to avoid mold and mildew growth.

Modern Bathroom Cabinets and vanities are often purchased by homeowners for their aesthetic appeal. More than these beautiful features however, cabinets and vanities are great storage fixtures that could keep the bathroom organized and free from clutter. For instance, modern vanity pieces, regardless if they are vessel sink vanities or standard vanities, could double as storage areas for toiletries and cosmetics.
